Geo-Environmental Engineer | York

Competitive Salary + Company Vehicle + 15% Bonus

Are you a Geo-Environmental Engineer with 3+ years' experience looking for your next career move with a well-established and highly reputable consultancy?

I'm working with a respected consultancy in York that has built an excellent reputation for producing high-quality technical reports and delivering outstanding work for its clients. With the team continuing to expand, they're now looking for an experienced Geo-Environmental Engineer to join the business and play a key role in its continued growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that values technical excellence, invests in its people and offers a great balance between office-based work and site investigations — with all site work kept local to the Yorkshire area.

The Role

You'll be involved in a varied portfolio of geo-environmental and contaminated land projects, with responsibilities spanning both site work and technical reporting.

Your duties will include:

* Undertaking and supervising ground investigations and site work.

* Carrying out soil and groundwater sampling, monitoring and logging.

* Interpreting ground investigation data and assessing geo-environmental risks.

* Preparing Phase 1 Desk Studies and Phase 2 Geo-Environmental Assessments.

* Producing high-quality technical reports, a key strength of the consultancy.

* Supporting contaminated land risk assessments and remediation strategies.

* Liaising with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.

What They're Looking For

* A minimum of 3 years' experience in geo-environmental engineering or contaminated land consultancy.

* Experience undertaking ground investigations and interpreting site investigation data.

* Good technical report-writing skills.

* A good understanding of contaminated land assessment and relevant industry guidance.

* The ability to work independently on site and collaboratively within a team.

* A relevant degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

* A full UK driving licence.

What's in It for You?

This consultancy offers an excellent package designed to support both your career development and work-life balance:

* Company vehicle provided.

* 15% annual bonus.

* All professional membership fees paid for.

* 50/50 split between office and site work, offering a great balance of technical reporting and practical field experience.

* Local site work across Yorkshire, meaning no need to travel nationally for investigations.

* A route to Chartership, with support available to help you achieve professional registration.

* The opportunity to join a well-established consultancy with an excellent technical reputation and an expanding team.

If you're a Geo-Environmental Engineer with 3+ years' experience and are looking for a role that combines high-quality technical work, local site investigations and genuine career progression, then please feel free to get in touch
