Grounds Maintenance Operative Catford, South London £14.80 per hour Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm (40 hours per week) About the Role We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established grounds maintenance company looking for a reliable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to join their team in Catford. This is a hands-on outdoor role suited to someone with experience in landscaping, gardening, or estate maintenance. If you’ve worked as a gardener, landscape operative, park maintenance worker, or similar, your skills could transfer well into this position. What You’ll Do • Carry out general grounds maintenance across residential and commercial sites • Grass cutting, hedge trimming, and strimming • Weed control and spraying in line with PA1 and PA6 regulations • Litter picking and general site tidying • Basic planting and soft landscaping tasks • Operating grounds maintenance machinery and tools safely • Driving between sites as required What We’re Looking For • Previous experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, or landscaping • PA1 and PA6 licences are essential • Full clean UK driving licence • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team Who Might Suit This Role This role could suit someone who has worked as a gardener, landscape gardener, estate services operative, greenkeeper, or facilities maintenance worker. Candidates from construction labouring or outdoor maintenance backgrounds may also have transferable skills.
