Deep Drainage Groundworker PLEASE DO NOT APPLY WITHOUT A CONFINED SPACES TICKET Location: Cheadle, Stockport / South Manchester (SK8) Rate: £200 per day Start Date: 25 February 2026 Hours: 45 hours per week Working Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm Role Overview We are recruiting an experienced Deep Drainage Groundworker to join a live infrastructure project in the South Manchester area. This role involves working as part of a dedicated deep drainage gang and requires solid experience in excavation, pipe laying support, and confined space working. Key Responsibilities Assisting with deep drainage and excavation works Working as part of a drainage gang on live site Supporting pipe installation, backfilling, and reinstatement Following confined space entry procedures Operating dumper and roller plant as required Working to RAMS and site safety standards Essential Requirements Proven experience in deep drainage groundworks City & Guilds Confined Space – Medium Risk CPCS or NPORS (CSCS accredited) Dumper ticket CPCS or NPORS (CSCS accredited) Roller ticket Strong understanding of confined space procedures Ability to work full site hours Ideal Candidate Reliable and safety-focused Comfortable working in excavations and confined environments Able to work effectively within a drainage gang Good communication and teamwork skills
