Group Accountant
Group Accountant Duration: Up to 6 Month Fixed Term Contract Location: Close to Guildford, Surrey Pro Rata Salary: £45,000 per annum + Production Bonus Syntech Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Group Accountant to join a well-established, multi-entity manufacturing business on a 3–6 month fixed term contract. This is a hands-on role within a complex manufacturing environment, requiring strong stock, WIP and cost accounting expertise, alongside multi-entity consolidation experience. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute immediately and support improved financial control, reporting accuracy and commercial insight across the Group. Group Accountant Responsibilities Month-End & Financial Reporting * Support and deliver accurate month-end close processes * Prepare monthly management accounts for assigned entities * Maintain accurate stock, WIP and cost accounting * Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Group Consolidation & Analysis * Consolidate financial results across multiple legal entities * Deliver variance analysis against budget and forecast * Provide clear commentary on financial performance, trends and risks * Identify cost control opportunities and operational efficiencies Compliance & Governance * Ensure compliance with UK GAAP (FRS 102) * Maintain accurate intercompany accounting * Strengthen financial controls and process consistency Group Accountant Requirements * Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant * Strong background in manufacturing finance * Extensive experience with stock, WIP and cost accounting * Proven multi-entity consolidation experience * Advanced Excel skills * ERP system experience * Strong analytical and problem-solving capability * Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders Click apply to speak to one of our consultants today.
