Job Title: Group Estates & Engineering Manager Salary: £90,000 + 7k Car Allowance Location: UK & Ireland (multi-site) This is a national role — candidates can be based anywhere in the UK, with regular travel across sites. Shift: Monday to Friday This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of estates, buildings, and infrastructure across 20+ food manufacturing sites — building the function from scratch and shaping how it operates long-term. Our client, a leading food manufacturing group, is creating a brand-new Group Estates & Engineering Manager role to bring structure, strategy, and leadership to estates across their UK & Ireland network. There is currently no central estates function — giving you a genuine blank canvas to define standards, systems, and long-term direction. As Group Estates & Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the development of a consistent, group-wide approach to estates and facilities management, while tackling the realities of ageing infrastructure and live production environments. This is a highly visible, strategic role with direct impact on operational performance and future investment. This is a unique opportunity to build and shape the estates function across a diverse portfolio of manufacturing sites, many of which are undergoing significant infrastructure transformation. What You’ll Be Doing: Food Manufacturing • Develop and implement a group-wide estates strategy across multiple manufacturing sites • Standardise estates and facilities management processes across a diverse estate portfolio • Lead long-term infrastructure planning, investment, and asset management initiatives • Oversee buildings, utilities, and site services to ensure safe and efficient food production • Manage estate condition assessments, including dilapidations and infrastructure reviews • Drive contractor performance and collaborate with site leadership and central engineering teams What We’re Looking For: Facilities Management • Proven experience in a multi-site estates or facilities management role (ideally 10+ sites) • Background in manufacturing environments, with food or FMCG highly desirable • Strong knowledge of buildings, infrastructure, utilities, and facilities management • Experience managing contractors and operating within complex, matrix organisations • Understanding of compliance, including health & safety and site standards • NEBOSH or relevant engineering/facilities qualification (desirable) • Exposure to property elements such as leases, dilapidations, or estate documentation (advantageous) What’s on Offer: • Salary: £90,000 • £7,000 car allowance • 10% bonus • 8% employer pension • Private healthcare (single cover) • High-visibility role with influence across 20+ manufacturing sites • Opportunity to build a function from scratch and shape long-term estates strategy Location: UK & Ireland (multi-site travel required) Job: Group Estates & Engineering Manager Shifts: Monday to Friday Step into a role where you define the standard, not follow it
