We are currently supporting a Bristol-based manufacturing business following a successful M&A transaction. As part of the wider group integration, the existing Group Financial Controller is moving into a Group Finance Director position, creating an immediate requirement for a strong interim Group Financial Controller on a 6-month contract.
This is a key leadership role within a stable, well-established manufacturing environment undergoing post-acquisition change and integration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead group financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely consolidated accounts
* Manage month-end and year-end close processes across the group
* Maintain robust financial controls, governance, and reporting standards
* Support post-M&A integration activities and group structuring
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles
* Provide insightful analysis to support senior leadership decision-making
* Manage and develop the finance team
* Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders as required
Requirements:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
* Proven experience in a Group Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role
* Strong manufacturing or complex operational sector experience essential
* Experience in post-M&A or group integration environments highly desirable
* Strong technical accounting and consolidation experience
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Location: Bristol (hybrid / on-site depending on business needs)
Contract Length: 6 Months
Day Rate: £350–£450

Reason for Vacancy: Post-M&A integration and internal promotion to Group Finance Director
