Job Title: Halls & Hospitality Officer

Location: Twickenham, TW1 3EB (fully office based)

Hourly rate £17.50 PAYE / £22.74 Umbrella per hour

Contract Length: 6-month contract (possibility of extension)

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 36 hours

About the Role

Are you an organised, customer‑focused professional with a passion for delivering exceptional events and hospitality services?
Richmond and Wandsworth Councils are looking for a Halls & Hospitality Officer to join our dynamic Facilities Management Operations team.

In this varied and fast‑paced role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering events across our public hall portfolio-ensuring every customer receives a seamless and memorable experience.

You'll be the key point of contact for internal and external clients, guiding them from enquiry through to event delivery, while ensuring high standards, legal compliance and best value for the Councils.

What You'll Be Doing

✅ Managing venue hire and supporting customers through the full event cycle
✅ Handling enquiries by phone, email and face‑to‑face, negotiating bookings and tariffs
✅ Coordinating event logistics including AV support, security, catering and suppliers
✅ Overseeing events on the day-set‑ups, customer liaison and contractor coordination
✅ Processing bookings, payments, deposits and financial administration
✅ Supporting ceremonies related to marriage and civil partnerships, ensuring legal compliance
✅ Contributing to marketing initiatives to raise the profile of our venues
✅ Maintaining accurate financial records and reporting for forecasting and business planning
✅ Supporting the wider FM Operations team with a "Right First Time" approach
✅ Ensuring safe, inclusive and high‑quality service delivery across both boroughs

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Has strong customer service skills and a professional, friendly approach
Thrives in a reactive, fast‑paced operational environment
Is confident managing events and coordinating multiple stakeholders
Has excellent organisation and communication skills
Can work flexibly-including occasional out‑of‑hours support
Is comfortable handling financial processes and administrative systems
Supports equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of their workExperience within events, facilities management, hospitality, or public venue operations is highly desirable.
