HCA
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our team. The successful candidate will support patients with their daily needs, ensuring comfort, dignity, and high-quality care in line with UK healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist patients with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and toileting
* Support mobility and help patients move safely
* Monitor and record vital signs (e.g., temperature, pulse, respiration)
* Assist with feeding and hydration where required
* Maintain accurate patient records and report changes to senior staff
* Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
* Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
* Follow infection control and health & safety guidelines
* Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a care setting (preferred)
* Right to work in the UK
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Compassionate, patient, and reliable nature
* Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends
* Basic understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
* Need Ehanced DBS Certificate
* Need Care Certificate
Desirable Skills
* Experience working in care homes
* Manual handling training
* Basic Life Support (BLS) training
* Knowledge of person-centred care
