The Role
The school is looking for an inspiring and knowledgeable leader who can drive high standards across History and Politics at KS3-KS5. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher ready to step into leadership, or an existing Head of Department seeking a new challenge in a vibrant West London setting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the History & Politics department, ensuring high‑quality teaching and learning across all key stages.
Support curriculum development and raise attainment across the subjects.
Mentor and support teachers within the department.
Contribute to whole‑school initiatives and strategic planning.Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential
Strong subject knowledge in History and Politics
Proven experience teaching KS3-KS5
Previous leadership experience (Head of Department or 2iC) - Desirable but not essential
A passion for driving academic excellence and supporting student progress
