We are working in partnership with a large, well-established secondary school with a thriving sixth form in Essex to recruit an ambitious and inspiring Head of Mathematics on a permanent basis from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maths teacher or current middle leader ready to step up, within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment offering clear progression.

The Role
As Head of Mathematics, you will:
Lead and develop a high-performing Maths department
Drive standards of teaching, learning, and outcomes from KS3 to KS5
Support staff through coaching, mentoring, and CPD
Contribute to whole-school improvement strategy
Deliver a broad, engaging, and ambitious curriculum
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong track record of raising attainment in Maths
Leadership experience (or ready for first HoD role)
Passionate about teaching and learning
Clear ambition to progress within leadership
