Head of School/Headteacher – Thrapston (NN14) Overview We are seeking an experienced Head of School/Headteacher to lead a secondary school in Thrapston, supporting young people who benefit from a more personalized and supportive learning environment. This role is ideal for a passionate leader who can drive high standards in teaching, learning, and student well-being while supporting staff development and school improvement. Key Information Location: Thrapston Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Working Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm Salary : Based on Experience Work Location: On-site Key Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day management and strategic development of the school. Support and manage teaching and support staff. Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and curriculum delivery. Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. Support pupils with SEN and additional needs. Ensure compliance with safeguarding and education standards. Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and external partners. Requirements Degree in a relevant subject area. QTS or QTLS (or equivalent overseas teaching qualification). Leadership experience within a school setting (e.g., Head of department, Assistant Head, Deputy Head or Headteacher). Experienced teacher in secondary school with KS3, KS4 students. Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and SEN support.
