Health & Safety Advisor Based in County Cork Delighted to be supporting an organisation in the Manufacturing/FMCG sector who are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to support a strong safety culture across the business and ensure compliance with Irish legislation. This role works across all departments to identify risks, deliver training, and drive continuous safety improvements. Key Responsibilities Act as the main onsite contact for Health & Safety. Conduct inspections, audits, and lead risk assessments. Maintain risk registers, SOPs, and safety policies. Investigate accidents, incidents, and reportable events. Deliver induction and mandatory training (manual handling, fire awareness, first aid). Organise toolbox talks and manage the near‑miss/"Good Catch" system. Lead fire safety and emergency response drills. Maintain contractor compliance and Permit to Work processes. Review and update risk assessments, SOPs, and safety statements. Skills & Qualifications QQI Level 7 Health & Safety qualification (or equivalent). Strong knowledge of Irish legislation. Train‑the‑Trainer and PHECC First Aid certified. Ability to deliver manual handling and VDU/DSE assessments. Proficient in MS Office; familiar with SharePoint. Experience with ISO 45001 or environmental compliance.
