Health And Safety Advisor
The role will ensure compliance with all relevant legislation while proactively promoting a positive safety culture, contributing to sustainable practices and embedding social value across projects and operations.
* Provide competent health and safety advice across all areas of the business in line with current legislation, standards and best practice.
* Support the development, implementation and review of health and safety policies, procedures, risk assessments and method statements.
* Conduct regular site inspections, audits and inspections, producing clear reports and tracking corrective actions to completion.
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending preventative measures.
* Support managers and supervisors in meeting their health and safety responsibilities.
* Deliver health and safety briefings, toolbox talks and training as required.
* Liaise with enforcing authorities, clients and external auditors when necessary.
* Support the development and delivery of the organisation’s social value strategy
* Work with project teams to identify and implement social value initiatives, such as local employment, apprenticeships, community engagement and skills development.
* Monitor, record and report on social value commitments and outcomes in line with client and contractual requirements.
* Promote inclusive, fair and ethical working practices across the organisation and supply chain.
* Support the implementation and continuous improvement of sustainability and environmental management systems.
Qualifications & Experience / Essential:

NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
*
Proven experience in a health and safety advisory role.
*
Experience of conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations
