Apply NowWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a leading rail infrastructure business, based in the South east of England and supporting the effective management of health, safety and environmental standards across rail projects and operational activities.
This is a senior role working closely with operational teams, project leadership and clients to promote a strong, proactive safety culture and ensure compliance across the business.
Key responsibilities include:

Providing professional H&S advice, support and guidance to operational and project teams.
*
Supporting the implementation and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System.
*
Ensuring projects comply with relevant legislation, standards, procedures and safety requirements.
*
Acting as a key H&S interface with clients.
*
Leading and supporting accident, incident and close-call investigations.
*
Ensuring corrective and preventative actions are effectively implemented and closed out.
*
Supporting audits, inspections and compliance activities.
*
Contributing to tender and work-winning activities.
*
Supporting RM3 assessments and resulting improvement plans.
*
Developing and supporting members of the wider team.
*
Promoting a positive and proactive health and safety culture.
About you:
*
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
*
Strong experience within rail or construction.
*
Good understanding of H&S legislation, management systems and industry standards.
*
Experience managing investigations, audits and corrective actions.
*
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
*
Comfortable providing advice and challenge at all levels.
*
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
*
PTS
*
IOSH membership and/or Chartered status desirable.
