Health and Safety Manager

Health & Safety Manager 💰 Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 ⏰ Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm (Flexibility required) 🏭 Sector: Manufacturing Environment 📍 Location: Plymouth The Role A growing manufacturing business operating a 24-hour production facility is looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and develop its safety strategy across the factory and related activities. This is a hands-on standalone role, ideal for a confident Health & Safety professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams to drive improvements and maintain high compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and continuously improve the Health & Safety strategy across manufacturing and construction environments Develop, implement and review H&S policies, procedures and management systems Maintain statutory documentation including Risk Assessments, COSHH, H&S policies and Construction Phase Plans Manage contractor vetting, inductions and monitoring in line with CDM Regulations 2015 Conduct regular site inspections, audits and compliance checks across operational areas Ensure compliance with equipment regulations including LOLER and PUWER Identify training requirements and ensure statutory and operational training compliance Lead accident and incident investigations, including RIDDOR reporting, root cause analysis and corrective actions Carry out environmental and noise monitoring across factory operations Support ethical audits and SEDEX compliance Skills & Experience NEBOSH Certificate, Diploma, NVQ or NCRQ (essential) TechIOSH or GradIOSH membership minimum Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar Health & Safety role Experience working across manufacturing environments Strong knowledge of CDM 2015, LOLER, PUWER and RIDDOR regulations If the role is of interest please apply with your CV to kathryn.van- for a confidential conversation regarding the role
