Health and Safety Manager

Health and Safety Manager - Suffolk - heavy civil engineering project within the power sector - £65k-£70k+car/benefits - fantastic opportunity for a well-respected Principal Contractor with a strong people focus and opportunities for progression.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety professional to support and maintain and develop health & safety standards across projects.

The Role:

Supporting day-to-day health & safety across the site
Ensuring compliance with current H&S legislation
Developing and maintaining H&S policies and procedures
Carrying out risk assessments, audits and site inspections
Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions
Providing H&S guidance, training and support to employees and management
Promoting a strong health & safety culture throughout the business
The Candidate:

Previous experience in a Health & SafetyManager or H&S Advisor role
Preferably experience within the construction, heavy civil engineering or power sector
NEBOSH qualification or equivalent is desirable
Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and best practice
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and influence others
