Apply NowWe are currently looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver to work out of our clients Irvine manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Production Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products to customer sites, maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism and customer service.
Knowledge & Experience
* Valid Class 1 (Category CE) HGV Driving Licence.
* Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card & Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
* Previous experience operating articulated HGV vehicles.
* Experience delivering building, construction or palletised products is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles in line with legal requirements.
* Ensure loads are correctly secured and transported safely.
* Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects.
* Complete delivery documentation accurately.
* Liaise with transport planners, colleagues and customers regarding deliveries.
* Report any delivery issues, accidents, defects or delays promptly.
* Assist with loading and unloading where required.
* Maintain high standards of vehicle care and comply with Health & Safety procedures.
Essential Competencies
* Good understanding of road transport legislation and compliance.
* Knowledge of load restraint and securing loads.
* Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules.
* Good geographical knowledge and route planning skills.
* Professional and customer-focused approach
