Apply NowWe are currently looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver (Category C) to join our client in Colchester, delivering foodservice products to our customers across Essex and surrounding areas.
This is a multi-drop delivery driver role, where you will be the face of the business, ensuring customers receive their deliveries safely, accurately and on time.
About the Role
As an HGV Class 2 multi-drop driver, you will be responsible for delivering foodservice products to a wide range of hospitality customers including restaurants, pubs, schools and care homes.
This role is hands-on and physically active, involving manual handling and customer interaction throughout the day.
Typical responsibilities include:
* Driving a Class 2 rigid vehicle on scheduled delivery routes
* Completing multi-drop deliveries to hospitality customers
* Safely unloading goods using appropriate equipment
* Ensuring orders are delivered accurately and on time
* Providing friendly, professional service as the face of Pilgrim Foodservice
* Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and driver compliance requirements
What We Are Looking For
To be successful in this role you will need:
* A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
* Driver CPC qualification
* Digital Tachograph Card
* Previous experience as a multi-drop delivery driver
* A strong work ethic and good attention to detail
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* The physical capability required for manual handling and foodservice deliveries
