The Opportunity
Tallgrass Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Drivers for ongoing work on behalf of a major Tesco distribution operation based in Doncaster.
This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers looking for regular, long-term work with consistent shifts throughout the year. The role involves store and RDC deliveries using cages, with drivers responsible for loading and unloading as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out deliveries and collections for Tesco stores and distribution centres
* Loading and unloading cages safely and efficiently
* Conducting vehicle checks before and after shifts
* Completing all relevant paperwork and delivery documentation
* Ensuring compliance with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and road transport legislation
* Providing a professional and courteous service at all times
Shift Pattern
* Thursday to Sunday
* Night shifts
* Ongoing work available all year round
* Consistent weekly rota
Requirements
* Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
* Valid CPC Qualification Card
* Digital Tachograph Card
* Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience preferred
* Previous RDC, store delivery, or cage work experience advantageous
* Good understanding of driver regulations and compliance
* Reliable and professional attitude
