A local business in Welshpool is looking to recruit an experienced HGV Class 1 Night Driver to join its transport team. The role involves depot-to-depot trunking work using curtain-sided trailers, offering consistent Monday to Friday night shifts with no manual handling or nights away from home. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable driver seeking ongoing work with a well-established transport operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete depot-to-depot deliveries and collections.
* Operate a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle safely and efficiently during night shifts.
* Carry out daily vehicle safety checks before and after each shift.
* Ensure loads are secured and transported safely.
* Complete all relevant driving and transport documentation accurately.
* Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and road transport regulations.
* Maintain high standards of safety and professionalism at all times.
Skills & Experience
* Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
* Valid Driver CPC qualification.
* Valid Digital Tachograph card.
* Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience is preferred.
* Experience working with curtain-sided trailers is advantageous.
* Good understanding of Driver Hours and Tachograph regulations.
* Reliable, punctual and committed to safe driving practices
