Location: UK-wide (working away required) Based from Welshpool, Powys
Reporting To: Site Supervisor
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and hardworking Site Fitter / HGV Class 2 Driver to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role combining driving, site work, and installation duties across various locations in the UK.
This position involves working away from home regularly, with accommodation and allowances provided.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
* Load, secure (strap), and unload materials/equipment
* Use HIAB (training can be provided if required)
* Carry out on-site fitting and general labouring duties
* Follow instructions from the Site Supervisor
* Ensure all work meets high-quality standards and is completed fully
* Adhere strictly to Health & Safety regulations (SSOW/RAMS)
* Wear and maintain appropriate PPE at all times
* Maintain a professional appearance in company uniform
* Use mobile technology for timekeeping, expenses, and reporting
* Assist supervisors with site-related tasks where required
* Be flexible with occasional night and weekend work
* Maintain excellent timekeeping and communication
Requirements
* HGV Class 2 licence (essential)
* Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
* Experience in loading/unloading and securing loads
* HIAB experience (preferred, training available)
* Willingness to work away from home regularly
* Strong work ethic and attention to detail
* Good understanding of site safety practices
Desirable Certifications
* EUSR (Water & Gas)
* CSCS / CPCS / ALLMI
* PASMA
* FLT licence
* First Aid at Work
