Apply NowWe are looking for a reliable and motivated HGV Class 2 Driver to join our waste and recycling collection team based in Stowmarket. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for carrying out refuse and recycling collections safely, efficiently, and professionally while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out daily refuse and recycling collections
* Operate machinery and vehicles safely with a good understanding of all aspects of the machinery in the role
* Professionally undertake all duties using safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to items presented for collection
* Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as required
* Complete all relevant paperwork and reporting in real time
* Carry out daily vehicle and machinery inspections before and after use
* Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of vehicles and machinery
* Maintain excellent customer and client relations, including interactions with members of the public and other road users
* Assist refuse loaders on rounds to ensure routes are completed within service level agreements
What You’ll Need to Succeed
* Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
* Driver CPC qualification
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Self-motivated with a positive attitude
* Willingness to undertake a variety of tasks as part of the team
* Ability to support loaders and work collaboratively to complete routes efficiently
* A clean driving licence is desirable
