The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced HGV / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and repairing our customers’ vehicles to the highest standards.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a business where you’ll have real input into how the workshop is set up, including the ability to request tools and equipment to help create the ideal working environment.

The Role

* Routine servicing and maintenance of HGVs and commercial vehicles

* Carrying out inspections and defect diagnosis

* Preparing vehicles for MOT and presenting for test

* Mechanical and electrical fault finding and repair

* Completing job cards and inspection reports accurately

* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop

* Experience in a busy workshop environment

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

* NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds (or equivalent) in HGV, LCV or Motor Vehicle Maintenance

* Proven experience working on commercial vehicles

* Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills

* Ability to work independently and take ownership

* Own tools required

Desirable:

* HGV (C+E) licence

* Welding or fabrication experience
