Location: Bromsgrove (commutable from Redditch, Worcester, Droitwich, Kidderminster, Alcester, and South Birmingham)
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their growing team based in Bromsgrove.
This is a varied and hands-on role, offering a mix of workshop-based duties alongside occasional field work. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a range of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on HGVs
* Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
* Undertake workshop-based repairs and inspections
* Attend breakdowns and support recovery operations when required (both light and heavy recovery)
* Represent the business professionally when working off-site
Working Hours:
Workshop hours are typically:
* Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
* Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
There is also potential for an evening shift, offering additional flexibility depending on your preference.
Salary & Benefits:
* Competitive salary based on experience
* OTE of £52,000+ (Basic hourly rate circa £16 - £22 p/h DOE)
* Overtime available
* Flexible hours depending on individual requirements
About You:
* Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic/Technician
* Strong diagnostic and repair skills
* Willingness to work both in the workshop and out on the road when required
* Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential)
* Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently
