Pay: £50,506.00-£60,000.00 per year Job Description: Job Overview Are you a HGV Technician/Mechanic looking for a new exciting role in a growing and expanding business? We are looking for a HGV Technician to join our team in Dagenham. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy goods vehicles and trailers for Tesco. Salary: 4o 4o Days 6am – 6pm £50,506 – £23.13ph OTE £60,000 (OTE based on total average earnings of Technicians in the garage over a 3 month period) Overtime available paid at £34.69ph Responsibilities * Service, inspection, maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers * Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation * Overhaul electrical equipment and components * Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment * Welding and metal working * Department of Transport (MOT) testing preparation * Parts ordering and stores management * Support team members including Apprentice Technicians as required * Accurately record time and detail of completed jobs * Carry out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directed Qualifications: * Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent or proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role in vehicle maintenance. * Diagnostics skills/qualifications – desirable * Proficient in using hand tools, power tools. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
