Our client is looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their modern in-house workshop, maintaining a mixed fleet of HGVs and trailers.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a standalone role, taking ownership of the servicing, maintenance and repair of the fleet, while receiving support from external contractors for specialist and overflow work.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
* Service, maintain and repair HGVs and trailers
* Carry out PMIs and safety inspections
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
* Prepare vehicles for MOT and complete preventative maintenance
* Ensure compliance with DVSA and Operator Licence requirements
* Maintain accurate workshop records
* Promote high workshop health and safety standards
* Liaise with the transport department regarding parts and outsourced work
🔧 Requirements
* Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or LGV Technician
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, IMI or equivalent qualification
* Good understanding of DVSA regulations
* Ability to work independently
* Gas Certificate
* HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence desirable but not essential
🔧 Benefits
* £60,000 - £70,000 per year (depending on experience)
* Monday to Friday working pattern
* Optional overtime and Saturday work
* Tools and equipment provided
* Ongoing manufacturer and specialist training, including TIG aluminium welding and CNG systems
* Pension scheme

* 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
* Rising to 25 days annual leave after one year's service
