HGV Mechanic – Excellent Pay | No Weekends | Day Shift Only Location: Grays, Essex Salary: £21 per hour (£43,680 per year) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm Shift: Day shift only Benefits: Company van provided The Opportunity We are recruiting an experienced HGV Mechanic to join a well-established and growing business based in Grays, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HGV Mechanic looking for long-term stability, competitive pay, and a genuine work-life balance with no weekend work. The Role As an HGV Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, roadworthy, and fully compliant with all legal and DVSA requirements. This position would suit a proactive HGV Mechanic who enjoys working independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship. Key Responsibilities Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults Complete vehicle inspections in line with DVSA standards Ensure all documentation and job records are completed accurately Manage daily workload independently and efficientlyWhat We’re Looking For Time-served HGV Mechanic or Level 3 qualification in HGV Maintenance Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Full, clean driving licence (HGV licence advantageous but not essential)What’s On Offer Competitive pay of £21 per hour, paid weekly Monday to Friday day shifts only No weekend work Company van provided for work use Stable, long-term employment within a supportive and professional teamWhy Apply?
