Apply NowStreamline Recruitment are working in partnership with a fantastic long-term client who is looking to grow their team. They are seeking an experienced HGV Workshop Technician / Fleet Maintenance Engineer to join their busy operation.
You will be responsible for the maintenance and inspection of a fleet of HGV trailers and vehicles, ensuring all work meets legal standards and vehicles remain safe and reliable for daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect and service HGV vehicles to required safety standards
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
* Source and order replacement parts as needed
* Respond to vehicle breakdowns and carry out repairs promptly
* Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
* Conduct routine servicing, including brakes, gearbox, and clutch
* Ensure all work meets high-quality standards and complies with safety regulations
* Keep the workshop, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good condition
* Follow health and safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment
Essential Experience:
* Heavy vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics
* Previous experience in a busy HGV workshop environment
Hours:
Rotating shift pattern covering Monday – Sunday (42 hours/week)
* Early: 6am – 3pm
* Days: 7am – 4pm
* Lates: 9pm – 6pm
Salary & Benefits:
* £51,040 per annum + overtime
* Overtime Monday – Saturday at time & a half
* Overtime Sunday at double time
* 25 days holiday per annum
