Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are currently working with a well-established and supportive primary school in the Keighley/Bradford area that is looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HLTA looking for a varied role, combining classroom support and whole-class cover across the school.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality learning, supporting teachers, and ensuring pupils are engaged, challenged, and progressing.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 (PPA cover)

* Support class teachers in delivering a creative and differentiated curriculum

* Work with pupils across a range of abilities, including those with additional needs

* Provide in-class support and small group interventions

* Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning

* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and senior leaders

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* HLTA status or equivalent experience

* Proven experience covering classes within a primary setting

* Strong understanding of the primary curriculum

* Confidence managing classroom behaviour independently

* A proactive, flexible and positive approach

* Passion for supporting pupils’ academic and personal development
