Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Northampton Location: Northampton Agency: Tradewind Recruitment Setting: SEMH & SEN School (Primary & Secondary) Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step in your career? Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with one of our valued partner SEMH and SEN schools in Northampton, supporting pupils across both primary and secondary age ranges. This rewarding role involves supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and associated behavioural challenges. As an HLTA, you will deliver planned interventions, lead small group sessions, provide targeted 1:1 support, and occasionally cover whole classes in the absence of the teacher. The ideal candidate will: Hold HLTA status or equivalent experience Have strong behaviour management skills Demonstrate a calm, consistent and nurturing approach Be confident adapting learning materials to meet diverse needs Have previous experience within SEMH or SEN settings In return, Tradewind offers competitive daily rates, ongoing CPD opportunities, and the support of a dedicated consultant who understands specialist education.
