About the Role
Twerling Primary School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive and dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development across the primary age range.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality education, leading learning activities, and supporting teachers in raising pupil attainment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups, and whole classes in the absence of a teacher
* Support the implementation of lesson plans and contribute to curriculum delivery
* Assess, record, and report on pupil progress
* Provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs
* Assist in classroom management and promote positive behaviour
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and senior leaders
* Contribute to the overall ethos, values, and life of the school
Requirements
* HLTA qualification (or equivalent) – essential or highly desirable
* Proven experience working as an HLTA in a primary school setting
* Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and use initiative
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
