£23,800 – £28,800 DOE Based from Central Office in Denton, with travel needed to Pupil homes Start Date: ASAP The Education Specialists are proud to be working in partnership with an Independant SEND Group with school sites in south manchester and Tameside, to recruit a dedicated and experienced Home Tutor on a permanent basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who are currently unable to access a school provision. The role is term time only and full time, offering a competitive salary dependent on experience. About the Role The position is based from the central office in Denton; however, the role involves travelling to pupils’ homes to deliver 1:1 tuition. A full driving licence and access to a car are essential. You will be supporting pupils predominantly with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, as well as other complex needs including ASD. The role requires a strong understanding of how to engage and motivate pupils who are not currently in school, helping them to re-engage with learning through focused, personalised tuition. Key Responsibilities * Deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition in pupils’ homes or online - depending on need * Develop tailored learning materials to meet individual pupil needs * Support pupils with SEMH needs to access learning and improve engagement * Build positive, trusting relationships to support emotional regulation and progress * Liaise closely with the school team to agree learning objectives and monitor progress * Provide structured, consistent support to promote positive outcomes The Ideal Candidate Will Have: * Proven experience delivering 1:1 learning to pupils with SEMH needs * A strong understanding of strategies to support pupils with additional and complex needs, including ASD * Experience developing personalised learning resources * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with school teams * A patient, resilient and nurturing approach This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of young people who need alternative educational support.
