Housing Officer

Housing Officer – Essex – £27.28 per hour (Umbrella) A London Borough is seeking an experienced Housing Officer to support the Housing Choice & Applications Service, delivering an efficient housing register and allocations service to residents. Key Responsibilities: Assess housing applications and determine eligibility in line with the Housing Allocation Policy Provide housing advice and support to residents with housing needs Advertise and allocate Council and Housing Association properties through Choice Based Lettings Manage service enquiries and inboxes Make property offers and nominations within required timescales to minimise void loss Verify priority applicants prior to property offers Support decants from regeneration programmes and allocate suitable accommodation Requirements: Previous Housing Officer experience within a local authority or social housing setting Experience working with housing registers, allocations or Choice Based Lettings systems Strong customer service and case management skills
