We are seeking a confident and capable HR Advisor to join a fast-paced manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, teamwork and continuous improvement. This is a great opportunity for an experienced generalist HR professional who enjoys being close to the operation, partnering with managers, and making a real difference to people, performance and culture.

Working closely with the People Partner, you will play a key role in delivering a practical, people-focused HR service across a busy production environment. You will support managers and team members at all levels, help drive engagement, and ensure people processes run smoothly in a business where standards, pace and collaboration matter.

What you’ll do

*

Provide day-to-day HR guidance and support to managers and team leaders across the site.

*

Support employee relations activity, including absence, conduct, performance and wellbeing matters.

*

Manage the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through to leavers, including contracts and correspondence.

*

Support maternity, paternity and family leave processes with care and consistency.

*

Lead the monthly payroll process to ensure colleagues are paid accurately and on time.

*

Use HR data and KPI reporting to identify trends, highlight issues and support informed decision-making.

*

Act as a super-user for the HR system, helping to improve processes and promote smarter ways of working.

*

Support site communications, engagement activity, awards, briefings and employee events.

*

Contribute to training workshops and people plan activity that supports site priorities.

*

Work collaboratively as a key member of the local people team.

What we’re looking for

*

Previous experience in a generalist HR or People Advisor role.

*

Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.

*

Experience working with line managers in a fast-paced manufacturing, FMCG or similar operational environment.

*

Confident user of MS Office, particularly Excel for reporting and analysis.

*

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust quickly.

*

Well organised, calm under pressure and able to balance multiple priorities.

*

A discreet, fair and balanced approach, with a genuine interest in supporting people to succeed.
