Senior HSE Advisor / QHSE Lead (Step-Up Role) – Essex Location: Rayleigh, Essex Salary: £35k - £40k Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:30–16:30 Ready to step into your first QHSE Manager role? We are working with a well-established UK manufacturer specialising in window and door systems, supplying into the construction and building products sector. They are looking for a Senior HSE Advisor or QHSE professional who is ready to take the next step into a site-leading role, with full ownership of Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental systems. This is a genuine opportunity to move into a QHSE Manager position, where you will have autonomy, responsibility and the chance to shape how things are done. The Role You will take responsibility for all QHSE activities across a busy manufacturing site, with support from senior leadership as you grow into the role. This will include: * Supporting and managing the Quality Management System (ISO 9001) * Leading Health & Safety compliance, risk assessments and audits * Driving improvements in site safety culture * Supporting environmental systems (ISO 14001) and sustainability initiatives * Assisting with energy management (ISO 50001) * Investigating incidents, near misses and non-conformances * Delivering training and supporting teams across the site About You This role would suit someone who is: * Currently working as a HSE Advisor, Senior HSE Advisor, or Quality/HSE professional * Looking to step into a more senior, site-wide leadership role * Experienced within a manufacturing or production environment * Confident working closely with operations and influencing at all levels * Proactive, organised and keen to take ownership You will ideally have: * NEBOSH General Certificate (essential) * Exposure to ISO systems (9001 / 14001 / 45001 or similar) * Experience supporting audits, investigations and compliance activities Why This Role? * A clear step up into a QHSE Manager-level position * The opportunity to take ownership rather than just support * Join a stable, growing manufacturing business * Monday–Friday days role with a strong work-life balance * A role where you can develop your career quickly Apply Now If you’re ready to take the next step in your QHSE career and want a role where you can grow into a leadership position, we’d love to hear from you
