Human Factors Specialist

Location: Remote, with travel once a month to site.
Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits

Copello is working with a leading engineering organisation delivering critical projects within a highly regulated industry. We are looking for an experienced Human Factors Specialist to join a growing team, supporting the delivery of complex safety case activities across major programmes.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the safe design, operation and assessment of high-integrity systems, while working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

* Produce and maintain safety case documentation in line with UK regulatory requirements.

* Deliver Human Factors assessments to support complex engineering programmes.

* Develop safety strategies and contribute to risk reduction activities throughout the project lifecycle.

* Apply Human Factors techniques, probabilistic risk assessments and engineering analysis to support safety justifications.

* Produce high-quality technical reports and safety documentation.

* Provide technical guidance to internal stakeholders and support wider project teams.

* Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations and ALARP principles.

Skills & Experience

* Knowledge of safety case production and risk assessment methodologies.

* Experience with techniques such as Hazard Analysis, FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Event Tree Analysis (ETA), HEART, THERP or similar.

* Understanding of UK safety regulations and industry standards.

* Strong technical report writing and communication skills.

* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams
