Human Resources Advisor x 2 | Hereford | up to £38,000 | Fixed Term Contract until 2027 (opportunity to go permanent)

Office based (with 1 day working from home during off peak times which are Jan – September)

The role

To provide professional, consistent first line HR support within a fast-paced operational environment. This role has a strong focus on employee relations, supporting managers with day-to-day people matters to ensure a fair and compliant team.

Key responsibilities

* Act as the first point of contact for managers on employee relations including disciplinaries, grievances, investigations, absence management and performance concerns.

* Provide responsive, practical HR advice to employees and managers

* Support day to day queries via the HR inbox, phone and onsite presence.

* Manage and support a high volume of ER casework

* Supporting the HR Manager, coach and guide managers to build confidence and capability handling people issues

* Ensure consistency, compliance and fairness in decision making

* Build strong working relationships with Operational leaders

* Support peak periods with recruitment and selection

* Support employee inductions on a regular basis

* Ensure accurate contractual changes are processed in a timely manner

* Keep up to date on all legislation and ensure relevant policy changes are implemented

* Absence management monitoring: Closely liaising with employees on sick leave to ensure all documentation is accurate and recorded and required support is provided.

* Ensuring all maternity, paternity and parental leave is monitored and managed

* Attend internal and external meetings to represent the department and/or Company

Personal Profile

* Proven experience in a HR Advisor/Officer role within a fast-paced environment

* Good employee relations experience and confident on advising

* Experience supporting frontline/shift-based teams

* Ability to prioritise and work at pace in a high-volume environment

* Good working knowledge of current employment law
