Import Entry Clerk

We are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a shipping company based in Ipswich who are recruiting for an Import Entry Clerk to expand their team.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Import Freight Forwarder with strong knowledge of customs procedures, import documentation and Brexit declarations.

Key Duties:

* Prepare and submit import customs entries accurately and within the required timeframe.

* Process and manage customs clearance documentation for imports arriving by air, sea and road freight.

* Complete and monitor Brexit related declarations and ensure compliance with UK customs regulations.

* Ensure all import shipments are progressed effectively from arrival through customs clearance to final delivery.

* Identify and resolve customs queries, delays and discrepancies.

Previous Skills & Experience:

* Previous experience working in an import freight forwarding or custom clearance role.

* Strong knowledge of UK customs procedures and Brexit Import declarations.

* Experience completing customs entries using customs software systems.

* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments.

* Strong organisational and time management skills.

* Problem solving mindset
