Key Responsibilities Carry out planned, preventive and reactive electrical maintenance across production lines and plant equipment. Inspect, test and maintain electrical systems, 3‑phase machinery, motors, inverters, and control panels. Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, minimising downtime across fast‑moving manufacturing processes. Support installation, commissioning and upgrade works on new machinery and electrical infrastructure. Assist with basic automation and controls tasks (e.g., sensor replacement, I/O checks, fault tracing on PLC‑controlled systems). Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, Safe Systems of Work and relevant engineering standards. Maintain accurate documentation including maintenance reports, electrical testing records and asset logs. Work collaboratively with engineering, production and external contractors to deliver reliable site performance. The Requirements Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician within manufacturing, engineering, processing or heavy industry. Strong competency working with 3‑phase systems, motors, drives, power distribution and industrial electrical infrastructure. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and control diagrams. Experience with machinery fault-finding and maintenance in a fast‑paced environment. Basic awareness of PLC systems (Allen‑Bradley / Siemens) — ability to fault find is beneficial. Good understanding of safety regulations, isolations, and safe working practices. 18th Edition qualification essential; NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering preferred. Experience working on installation, commissioning or upgrade projects is desirable.
