Our client is a leading UK manufacturer supplying high-quality products to a range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to join their team.
The position is full time, permanent.
Salary: Up to £40,000.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday, rotating weekly between:
Week 1: 6 am – 6 pm
Week 2: 6 pm – 6 am
Duties
* Monitor production processes to ensure optimum running conditions
* Carry out tooling changeovers
* Troubleshoot and resolve machine and quality issues
* Deliver effective end-of-shift handovers
* Produce high-quality moulded products
* Support start-up and shutdown of extrusion lines
* Maintain product quality in line with specifications
* Perform tool trials and support continuous improvement
* Minimise scrap and maximise production efficiency
* Maintain high housekeeping standards (5S)
* Record and monitor quality checks throughout each shift
* Follow operating procedures and setting sheets
Experience
* Previous experience as an Injection Moulding Technician/Setter
* Experience within the plastics industry is desirable but not essential
* Good knowledge of plastics, including their uses and properties
