Up to £50k + Bonus + Pension + Flexible Working. 30% Overseas.

Installation & Maintenance Engineer - The Role:

Provide advanced technical support, diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical and software issues

Lead installation, maintenance and service projects for inspection and automation machines

Oversee system performance, conduct audits and ensure reliability and optimal operation

Mentor and train junior engineers on systems, troubleshooting and best practices

Maintain detailed documentation of service work, system configurations and maintenance activities

Build strong customer relationships, explain technical issues clearly and deliver excellent support

Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, company policies and industry standards

Collaborate with design and development teams to improve systems and resolve technical challenges

Travel nationally and internationally (up to 8 trips per year, typically up to 2 weeks) for installations and servicing

Support workshop-based system builds and provide remote customer assistance when not travelling

Installation & Maintenance Engineer - The Person:

Degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science) or equivalent

Around 5+ years’ experience in a similar engineering/service role

Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical or electronic systems

Experience with Operational Technology (OT) or Distributed Control Systems (DCS) preferred

Excellent problem-solving, communication and customer-facing skills

Ability to mentor others and work collaboratively across teams

Proactive, flexible and driven to improve systems and service performance

Willing and able to travel internationally and work flexible hours when required

Full UK driving licence and valid passport with no travel restrictions

Must be eligible to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)

This role would be commutable from Manchester, Wilmslow, Macclesfield, Warrington and other surrounding areas.
