Apply NowAxon Moore are partnering with a dynamic, fast-paced organisation in the Leeds area to appoint an Interim Financial Controller.
This is a broad, highly visible role where you will take full ownership of the finance function’s day-to-day financial operations and will report directly to the Finance Director.
The key roles and responsibilities for this person will include:
Overseeing the day-to-day finance operations
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
Provide financial insight and analysis to support strategic decision-making
Full responsibility for the month end management accounts and financial reporting
Supporting the year end and liaising with external auditors to deal with any queries
Partnering with senior leadership to drive business performance and profitability
Cashflow management
Budgeting and forecasting.
Reviewing P+Ls and providing financial insights to the wider business.
Improve financial systems, reporting tools, and processes for efficiency
The ideal candidate requirements for this role will include the following:
Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/AAT)
Strong technical, commercial and management accounting experience
Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
Previous experience managing or mentoring finance staff
High attention to detail
This role would suit a qualified, technically strong and commercially minded Financial Controller who thrives in a fast-moving environment. You’ll be a strong people manager, comfortable rolling up your sleeves and able to hit the ground running from day one.
