Interim Quantity Surveyor
Daily Rate: depending on working experience in the role
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and quantity take-offs for materials, labour, and equipment
Manage contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors
Monitor project costs, cash flow, and financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities
Conduct site visits to assess progress, verify completed work, and prepare valuations and claims
Identify and manage financial and construction risks, recommending mitigation strategies
Liaise with clients, contractors, site teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including contracts, budgets, and reports
As the successful Interim Quantity Surveyor you will:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
Strong knowledge of construction processes, contract law, and industry regulations
Proficiency in cost management software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, estimating software)
Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and negotiation abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
