Interior Designer
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and evolving practice that has firmly established itself as one of Sheffield’s go-to architectural brands. With a talented team of around 30 Architects, Designers, and Technicians, the practice prides itself on its collaborative and supportive culture. They foster a professional yet friendly working environment, complemented by regular team events and a strong social ethos.
The Role
As an experienced Interior Designer, you will take a leading role in the design and delivery of interior schemes across a variety of sectors. You will be involved from concept through to completion, with a particular focus on technical detailing, coordination, and on-site delivery.
Working closely with the architectural team, you will contribute to integrated design solutions while also taking ownership of interiors packages. This role offers a genuine opportunity to act as a key figure in developing and expanding the interiors function within the practice, with scope to influence direction, processes, and ultimately help build and lead a dedicated interiors team.
You will be responsible for managing projects day-to-day, liaising with clients, coordinating consultants and suppliers, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high design and technical standard.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of interior projects across all stages
Develop creative, functional, and technically robust interior solutions
Produce and oversee detailed drawing packages, specifications, and FF&E schedules
Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and suppliers
Manage client relationships and act as a key point of contact
Contribute to the growth and development of the interiors offering within the practice
Key Requirements
Degree qualified in Interior Design or a related discipline
Typically 5+ years’ industry experience, ideally within a design-led practice
Proven experience delivering projects from concept through to completion
Strong technical knowledge, particularly in later project stages and on-site delivery
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM experience advantageous)
Experience producing FF&E packages and specifications
Excellent communication, organisational, and client-facing skills
Ambition to take on a strategic role in developing an interiors team
