Intermediate Mechanical Estimator Location: Central London Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 + Package Overview: An established M&E contractor based in Central London is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team. You will work closely with senior estimators and experienced professionals, contributing to tenders while continuing to build your knowledge across mechanical building services. Key Responsibilities: Support the Mechanical Estimating team on a range of tenders Assist in reviewing employer’s requirements and project specifications Interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation Carry out take-offs and measurements from mechanical drawings Input data into estimating software Issue enquiries to suppliers and subcontractors Assist in analysing and comparing quotations Contribute to the preparation of competitive tender submissions Requirements: Experience as a Mechanical Estimator or Assistant/Junior Estimator within M&E / Building Services Understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, pipework, public health, etc.) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Good communication and organisational skills Experience with estimating software is beneficial Benefits & Package: £45,000 – £60,000 basic salary (DOE) Hybrid working (2–3 days office/site) Ongoing training, development and mentoring Clear progression to Senior Estimator level Exposure to complex and high-value projects Supportive and collaborative team environment Pension scheme Generous annual leave Long-term career stability Company: A well-established and highly respected M&E contractor with a strong pipeline of work across London.
