Job Title: Junior Engineer
Location: North London

Salary: £29,500 + Door to Door overtime
Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Engineer to join our growing service team covering North London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a practical mindset who is looking to develop a long-term career within the commercial catering industry.

The successful candidate will primarily support the delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across a range of commercial catering equipment. Full training and ongoing support will be provided by experienced engineers, with a clear pathway to progress into a fully qualified Field Service Engineer role.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out scheduled PPM visits at customer sites under the guidance of senior engineers.

* Inspect, clean and maintain commercial catering equipment in line with manufacturer recommendations and company procedures.

* Complete service reports accurately using company systems.

* Identify signs of wear, damage or potential equipment failures and report findings to the Service Manager.

* Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company health and safety policies.

* Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicle to a professional standard.

* Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with clients.

* Attend manufacturer and in-house training courses to develop technical knowledge and skills.

* Provide support to the wider engineering team as required.

Equipment Covered

The role will involve working on a variety of commercial catering equipment, including:

* Ovens

* Fryers

* Griddles

* Salamanders

* Hot cupboards

* Dishwashers

* Combination ovens

* Refrigeration equipment

* Food preparation equipment

Skills & Experience

Essential:

* A keen interest in engineering and a willingness to learn.

* Good practical skills and a hands-on approach to work.

* Strong communication and customer service skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

* Full UK driving licence.
