As part of the global organisation, Colas Ireland is primarily involved the distribution of bitumen products, emulsion and emulsifier manufacturing, and the provision of specialist road maintenance services on the national, regional and local road network. In Ireland Colas operates from 14 locations across the island of Ireland. Purpose of the Junior Health and Safety Advisor As Junior Health and Safety Advisor you will support the site Safety Team and Group Safety Manager to implement and maintain health and safety systems across the site. Provide administrative support for safety programmes, assist with ISO 45001 / Safe T Cert administration, and promote safe working under the One Colas Behavioural Programme. Work closely with Operations, Training and HR to keep the workplace safe for staff, contractors and clients. You can be based in any of the following areas for this role Ennis/Nenagh/Athlone/Kinnegad. Main Responsibilities of the Junior Health and Safety Advisor Provide H&S administration (meeting minutes, accident log, PPE matrix, chemical register). Support ISO 45001 / Safe T Cert, report Safety KPIs, review subcontractor paperwork, carry out audits/inspections and flag issues. Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks and communications, assist accident reporting and corrective actions, and promote Colas safety values. Ideal Candidate To be successful in the role of Junior Health and Safety Advisor you will have a Cert/Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety preferred or studying towards one. Some workplace experience desirable. Flexible, self-motivated team player with good communication, admin skills, attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
