Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant - Full Time 📍 Shrewsbury 📅 Immediate Start | Until End of Academic Year | Potential for Ongoing Opportunity Aspire People are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Shrewsbury for a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed and adaptable TA who is confident working across all KS2 year groups and supporting a range of learning needs. The Role As a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant, you will: Support teaching and learning across all KS2 classes (Years 3-6) Be willing to work flexibly and cover different classes when required Deliver small group interventions and targeted academic support Provide 1:1 support where needed, including for pupils with SEN Assist with classroom preparation and organisation Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning Work closely with teachers and senior leadership This is a varied and rewarding role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic KS2 environment. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Has recent experience working within Key Stage 2 Is confident supporting across multiple KS2 year groups Has experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills Is proactive, reliable, and adaptable Builds positive working relationships with pupils and staff Qualifications are desirable but not essential. We will consider candidates without formal qualifications if they can demonstrate relevant and recent experience within a KS2 setting.
