We're recruiting on behalf of a supportive SEN school for a Kitchen Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a meaningful role, supporting young people in a nurturing educational environment.
Hours: 9:30am - 1:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £12 - £14 per hour (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Support daily kitchen operations and food preparation
Follow health & safety and hygiene standards
Serve meals to children and staff with a friendly, approachable manner
Take instruction from the kitchen lead while also showing initiative
Engage positively with studentsAbout You:
Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is essential
Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Calm, personable, and confident when interacting with children
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Understanding or experience of working with young people with additional needs is a plus - but not essentialThis is an ideal role for someone who enjoys kitchen work and wants to contribute to a supportive school community.
