KS2 Interventions Teaching Assistant
Location: Gillingham, Kent
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full Time | Term-time only
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 2 team, primarily supporting pupils in Years 3 and 4. This role will focus on delivering targeted small group interventions to help pupils build confidence and make strong academic progress.
You will work closely with class teachers to support learning, reinforce key skills, and help pupils overcome barriers in a positive and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver small group intervention sessions in core subjects such as English and Maths
Support pupils in Years 3 and 4 to close learning gaps and build confidence
Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom support where needed
Monitor and record pupil progress during interventions
Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in Key Stage 2
Be confident leading small group activities and interventions
Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills
Be patient, adaptable, and committed to supporting all learners
